How it works
First and foremost, HearingStockAid.com is exclusively for the use of licensed hearing professionals and not a direct-to-consumer website. Participation is by invitation only, and continued membership is at the discretion of the website creators. Abuse of the program can lead to a termination of membership. Sales transactions occur similarly to other online auction websites, although this is a simple "Buy It Now" program.
Sellers list their products through the website engine simply by following the easy-to-use interface, describing the product and indicating key features such as format (RIC, BTE), technology level (Elite, Advanced), condition (New, Used, Demo), warranty status, etc. List it for whatever price you would like, knowing that to support the website, HearingStockAid.com charges a 2% commission and transactions are handled via PayPal, direct from buyer to seller. Upon purchase and confirmed payment, the seller is to ship the product directly to the buyer, preferably via professional courier such as FedEx. Similar to other selling websites, HSA.com has a ratings system so that Buyers and Sellers can rate each other. As usual, reputation is everything. So we should all do our best for each other. Warranty and condition of the instrument are very important, since this will ultimately translate to the consumer's use. The buyer's reputation rests on your honesty.
Buyers can use the website to search for products the need for specific patients, or browse for good deals they might want to take advantage of. Use the filters on the listing page to narrow your search down to specific products. Use the "Alert!" system to be notified when specific brands or models become available. Look for deals where there are products available for prices better than you'd get through your regular direct account or a buying group.
